One of Employer Solutions’ vital offerings is immunization services to help employers maintain the health of their workforce. Now that flu season is upon us, the Corporate Health and Wellness team is beginning to conduct flu shot events for area employers. These events may be hosted at drive-in or onsite clinics.
Vanderbilt Health’s flu vaccines are preservative-free and latex-free, as well as quadrivalent, which means they are designed to protect against four different flu viruses—two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses.
Vanderbilt Heath offers a standard flu vaccine for ages 6 months to 64 years old (Fluarix) and another option for patients 65+ (Fluad). Fluad offers an increased immune response, which can potentially improve protection in this older population, according to Grayson K.
