Patients have given extremely high satisfaction scores to two Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) facilities in Bedford County: the Vanderbilt Integrated Primary Care Wartrace Clinic and Vanderbilt Integrated Primary Care Madison Street Clinic in Shelbyville.
VUMC recognized the facilities with the Excellence in Patient Experience award, an honor given to those in the top 10% of a national survey conducted by Press Ganey, a health care company that tracks and analyzes patient satisfaction and feedback. The survey was conducted from July 2020 through June 2021.
VUMC also recognized three health care providers with the patient experience award: Karyn E. Jones, APRN, who practices in the Vanderbilt Integrated Primary Care Madison Street Clinic in Shelbyville; Marie Elizabeth Brock, DO, who practices in the Vanderbilt Integrated Primary Care–North in Shelbyville; and Sarah Bridge, APRN, who practices in the Vanderbilt Integrated Primary Care Wartrace Clinic.
“We have continued to find our way through the pandemic and all of its challenges, and our clinical service areas and individual providers continue to provide outstanding personalized care,” Brian Carlson, VUMC vice president of patient experience, told the Shelbyville Times-Gazette.
On Jan. 1, 2021, VUMC acquired Tennova’s Shelbyville hospital from CHS and renamed it Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital. Learn more about the acquisition here.
