VUMC Video Series Educates Community on COVID-19 Vaccines

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) has created a video series to educate the community on the COVID-19 vaccines and build vaccine confidence. Many of the brief videos, which include “How Does a Vaccine Work?” “Will a COVID-19 Vaccine Be Safe?” and “Vaccines and Women’s Health and Pregnancy” feature VUMC’s William Schaffer, MD, an infectious disease expert and one of the nation’s most trusted voices during the pandemic.

The latest video, “COVID-19 Vaccine 401: Racial and Ethnic Disparities,” features Jeff Balser, MD, VUMC president and CEO, in conversation with VUMC cardiologist Dan Munoz, MD, MPA, and VUMC infectious disease clinician Aima Ahonkhai, MD, MPH, about vaccine concerns among communities of color.
