We offer two types of asymptomatic testing: PCR and rapid antigen testing.
PCR Testing
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing is the most accurate and reliable test for diagnosing COVID-19. This test detects genetic material that is specific to the virus. Turnaround time is generally within 24 hours, but results can be in sooner. When demand is high, results can take much longer.
Rapid Antigen Testing
This test detects protein fragments specific to the virus. Since this test is not performed in a lab setting results can be reported in as little as 15 minutes.
Important Notes
Asymptomatic COVID-19 testing service is for adults only and should not be used on anyone who is symptomatic. It is also not to be used if you’re seeking a negative test following a positive result or to end a period of quarantine after sustained exposure. Asymptomatic COVID-19 testing should never be used as a standalone strategy for a return-to-work program. Additional health and safety procedures need to be in place, such as masking, social distancing and daily symptom screenings, to reduce the likelihood of infection.
