A New Year Ushers in Four New MyHealth Bundles

A new year brings new healthcare innovation in the form of new MyHealth Bundles—Vanderbilt Health's value-based approach to managing some of the most common and costly health conditions.

January 1, 2021, marked the unveiling of four new bundles:

MyHearingHealth: This bundle takes an innovative approach to cochlear implants that coordinates and “bundles” all of the services needed for a successful procedure and recovery.

MySpineHealth: This bundle includes coverage of three common spine procedures: cervical fusion, lumbar fusion and laminectomy.

MyOrthoHealth – Hip & Knee Surgery: This bundle includes coverage of both hip and knee replacement procedures.

MyWeightLossHealth – Surgical Weight Loss: This bundle includes coverage of two surgical procedures: Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy (“Gastric Sleeve”) and Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass (“Gastric Bypass”).

The first bundle to launch was MyMaternity Health, which "bundles” all the services an expectant mother and baby need for the entire length of the pregnancy, from the initial prenatal care visit through delivery and 12 weeks after delivery.

MyHealth Bundles provide employers with more transparent, predictable pricing by prioritizing consistent care. The bundled payment model encourages care coordination and adds incentives for clinical departments to better manage a patient’s entire experience, reducing employers’ overall costs and building a concierge service experience.
