MNPS Wins Award for Wellness Partnership With Vanderbilt Health

Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) was recently named the 2023 State and Local Government Benefits Association (SALGBA) “Public Entity of the Year.” MNPS was nominated for its work with Vanderbilt Health on the MyHealth Bundles program, the Vanderbilt Health Employee Wellness Center and other Vanderbilt Health services that make up MNPS’s robust health and wellness program.

The award is given to a public sector entity in recognition of its implementation of a benefits program that has substantially reduced costs, increased member awareness, improved member education or enhanced member wellness.

"We are thrilled to be named Public Entity of the Year 2023 by SALGBA," said Martha Shepherd, DO, MPH, Medical Director, Vanderbilt Health at MNPS. "This award not only honors MNPS's commitment to prioritizing our employees’ health, but also recognizes the power employers have to shape health care in meaningful ways."
