More About the Cause

Evan Campa, a 41-year-old mother of two, was diagnosed in 2018 with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, the most common motor neuron disease in adults. Amid traveling to participate in clinical trials, Evan and her family—husband, Eben, and children, Mae, 7, and Reuben, 5 — have teamed up with Vanderbilt Health and the Live Like Lou Foundation to bring an ALS basic science research program to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

“We’ve joined this effort because we want to do whatever we can to help further ALS in a positive direction toward treatment and cures and more hope for people.”
