As the novel coronavirus causing COVID-19 continues to spread, the potential for information overload and anxiety is great right now. That’s why the Vanderbilt Health Employer Solutions team is committed to sharing locally relevant information from Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) to help you make plans and take care of your employees and families.
Here are a few of the latest helpful resources we’ve been sharing with our VUMC patients and employees. We encourage you to reference and share them inside your organization as relevant to your communication plan on this topic:
- VUMC has launched a special website dedicated to promoting access to reliable, up-to-date information about COVID-19 and its spread.
- VUMC has updated its travel guidance for personnel. Read the latest here.
- We’ve also set up a hotline for Vanderbilt Health patients and employees with respiratory illnesses seeking more information about possible COVID-19 infection: (888) 312-0847. This number is answered 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., seven days a week.
- We’ve produced a set of short informational videos featuring VUMC’s own Dr. William Schaffner, a recognized expert in infectious diseases. He answers some frequently asked questions about coronavirus that will be helpful for your employees.
VUMC is doing everything we can to support the health and safety of our patients, employees and community. Rest assured our experts in infectious disease and vaccine development are collaborating with others throughout the country to better understand this virus, the disease it causes, and how we can best treat or prevent it.
We’ll continue to update you on the latest information. Please reach out to employersolutions@vumc.org with any questions or needs for additional resources.
