Vanderbilt Health Employer Solutions (VHES) was one of the gold sponsors of the 2024 Tennessee SHRM Conference and Exposition, held August 25–28 in Memphis. The annual conference invites experts to communicate the latest on health care innovations to HR professionals throughout the MidSouth.
In the session, “Unlocking the Benefits of Employer-Provider Partnerships,” Brittany Cunningham, DNP, MSN, RN, CSSBB, Vice President for the VUMC’s Episodes of Care Office, and Milliman’s Scott Cohen, MPH, did a deep dive into the unique partnerships that have made Vanderbilt’s MyHealth Bundles a success. The program, which helps manage some of the most common and costly health conditions, aligns care and service in a more effective way, reducing costs for everyone.
A session led by Martha Shepherd, DO, MPH, FAAFP, detailed how Vanderbilt Health partnered with Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) to strengthen the physical, mental and emotional health of the organization’s 11,000-plus employees. As medical director of the MNPS partnership, she outlined the importance of providing employees with the right care at the right time and at convenient locations. She spoke about how the MNPS-Vanderbilt Health partnership has brought about improvements in employee health outcomes and retention as well as organizational cost savings.
Blythe Exton and Regina Trainor from the VHES team were also on site to explain details of Vanderbilt Health's full suite of programs and customized strategies to help employees proactively and conveniently manage their health.
